Cantv has placed new purchase orders for Axesstel D800 CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Fixed Wireless Broadband Modems and new L800 Fixed Wireless Phones based on CDMA2000 1X. The fixed wireless devices will be offered in conjunction with Cantv’s nationwide network expansion to broaden the access to affordable high quality voice and broadband data service. Axesstel has begun shipping all products.

The D800 modem allows Cantv to make broadband data services available to businesses and enterprises. This model is currently available through Cantv stores and its network of authorized dealers nationwide. The L800 wireless fixed phone is offered in conjunction with Cantv’s nationwide network expansion to broaden the access to affordable voice calling from the home. The L800 was launched successfully through the same channels during the Mother’s Day promotion, May 14, 2006 with sales of more than 35,000 to date.

US : Axesstel announced that Axesstel has received its first purchase order for its advanced 3G AXW-D800 CDMA2000 1xEV-DO modems from Telecommunicaciones Movilnet C.A. (Movilnet), the wireless division of Venezuela’s largest telecommunications operator Compania Anonima Nacional Telefonos de Venezuela, which is also an affiliate of a U.S. communication services provider.
